AM

Picked western half of trench and picked it up. Troweled high spots and fixed baulk walls. Picked eastern half and then redid the baulk walls. While picking up came across a new soil that was lighter tan, less clayey, whitish, and sandy with less material yield.

PM

Cleaned and swept in preparation for the declaration of Locus 3. Declared Locus 3 in the entire trench because of a soil change. Soil is as described in the AM. Took Locus 3 photographs.
