CA79yielded a sizeable amount of pottery during the 2013 excavation season. Of the 10loci all produced pottery. The highest amount of pottery was found in Locus 3 accountingfor nearly half of the pottery recovered from the trench. This was a largelocus which covered the entire area of the original trench and was defined by alight brown erosional fill soil. The pottery within this locus was for the mostpart impasto, fine impasto with some coarseware also present.

Locus6 produced the second highest amount of pottery at nearly a quarter of thewhole amount excavated. This locus was in the extension to CA79 and representsa similar elevation and soil type to that of Locus 3. Like Locus 3, the mostprominent type of ware present was coarseware, impasto amd fine impasto in additionto a few sherds of creamware. All of the pottery from Loci 3, 4, and 5 wereparticularly worn and eroded.

Loci7, 8, 9 and 10 made up of distinctive features in the trench. Locus 10 isworthy of note as it appears to have been a floor surface and a scrape of thisstratum unveiled 58 sherds of pottery. The possible floor also had many othersherds of pottery visible on its surface, however, these were not excavated topreserve this level.

Potterywithout a secure context from baulk wall trims consisted of 64 pieces.
