Began today troweling in locus 22 in order to bring it down to the floor level of OC3. The soil has remained a consistant medium brown color and contains some pottery and bone as well as small worn pieces of tile. The layer also still contains little pieces of carbon. A small patch of decaying limestone has been uncovered in the north west corner of locus 22 . In the northwestern corner of locus 22 just to the north of where the decaying limestone was found a small pocket with an increase in pottery and bone was uncovered. It has been decided that we will now explore the southern extent of the reddish deposit/plaster feature. We will now close locus 5 and open locus 23 over a portion of the area covered by locus 5 previously. Locus 23 is a yellow brown claylike soil with whitish inclusions and it has little material in it. The coordinates and elevations for the locus are:
- NW - 137.89mE/26.34mS - 28.69m
- NE - 138.55mE/26.87mS - 28.65m
- SE - 138.64mE/26.89mS - 28.62m
- SW - 137.93mE/26.94mS - 28.62m

Began troweling in locus 23 to find the southern extent of the reddish feature.
Continue to trowel in locus 22 , found special find #1 (metal with rivets). In locus 23 we seem to have uncovered the extent of the reddish/plaster deposit. It appears to end 10 cm from the north edge of the locus. This would indicate that the feature ended at the northern edge of the southern wall of OC3. Leveled locus 23 with the plaster level. Cleaned and leveled locus 22 .
