Locus 1 was closed this morning and Locus 2 was opended. Photos were taken and elevations measured. Locus 2 covers the same area of the trench as Locus 1. The soil of Locus 2 is lighter in color than Locus 1. It appears to be olive brown in color. There are less organcis and stones in this locus verses the previous one.

Pick passes were carried out in the northern half of the locus. Here it was lowered approximately 15 cm. The southern half was lightly picked and lowered approximately 5 cm.

Ionic sherd (5 pieces)

One bowl of terracotta fragments was recovered among which was a small piece of ridge pole tile. Approximately one dozen pottery sherds were found and two pieces of pithos. Two pieces of bone were found. Two special finds were made.
