T-23 tile: I, pottery negligible
Brief summary: Meter C/11 taken to 60 cm, ivory found in large quantity. Meters A/11-12 taken to ~60 cm. Tile layer in T-26 cleaned.
Work began with pick, shovel, and wheelbarrow in meter C/11. A cut to 60 cm was taken. Ivory found and worked changed to mestiline and sieves, very carefully checking the soil. More ivory and bronze nails found. Continued picking revealed a tile layer, so work changed to cleaning down the tile; more ivory found this way. Bronze slag and glass slag found. Carbon in abundance, though in small fragments. Soil is light with orange and black.
Meters A/11-12 taken to 60 cm and the soil carefully checked. Soil gray-brown, very little burn layer like the layer at 60 cm in C/11-12.
Tile and rock in T-26 E/77-79 continued to be cleaned.

T-23 Summary: Meter C/11 picked to 60 cm yielding ivory. Tile in C/12 cleaned. A/11 picked to 60 cm. Tile: Negligible. Pottery: Negligible.
T-26 Summary: Rock/Tile layer cleaned in D-E/77-79 continued to be cleaned down. Tile: Negligible. Pottery: Negligible.
Work continued with mestiline in T-23, carefully inspecting the soil in C/11-12 and A/12. Tile layer in C/11 dropped off so soil picked. C/12 tile cleaned with mestiline. A/12 picked and carefully inspected for ivory. Burn layer present in C/11-12, appearing in A/11 also at 60 cm.
T-26 rock packing/tile layer in E-D/77-79 at ~50-60 cm cleaned with hammer and mestiline. Soil light with a small quantity of carbon and orange specks mixed in.
