Daily Log

July 27, 1990

The cut in meters K-L(M)/65-66 was taken to a depth of 78cm b.d.  The soil was brown with localized patches of plaster and burn.  Many roots and small rocks are still present.  Approximately 1/2 latte box and 1/2 cassette of tile were recovered.  Most pottery and tile was heavily worn and some burned.

The cut in K/67-68 continued to a depth of 115cm b.d.  The soil here contains a heavy concentration of both yellow and orange disintegrated plaster and some cabonized wood.  Approximately 1 latte box of pottery and 1/2 a cassette of tile were recovered.  Finds include: painted pottery and an iron nail.
