The cut in J-K-L 33-34 was completed to a depth of 70cm. Showing that the "wall" of large rocks running e-W through J30-32 continued into grid 33 but then terminated.

Cut 3/4 (depth 70cm) completed in P30-33 were lifted and removed. A cut 4-6 to depth 100-110cm was thus continued in that grid, revealing a clayish yellow soil above a burn strutum all below the rocks. Once again the gragments of pottery were particularly numerous (3 cartons). Work was resumed in H-_I30-34 in order to reveal the entire burn layer in taht area. In these grids, bedrock appears to be somewhat lower than A-G30-32, for beneath the burn layer is another

stratum of soil, in this instance a yellow clay like soikl completely void of material. A few pieces of bronze were found (I-30, lump, H-33, slag and pieces of sheet) and 2 cartons of pottery, primarily non-bucchero, were discovered in the burn layer.
