Cut continued in meters E126-128, S17-18.  A small portion of E129, S18 was included in order to maintain an eastern baulk parallel to upper building wall pf R13.  Cut was extended to E127, S17-18 and area was leveled to an approx. depth of 55-60 cm.  Soil was yellow-brown with concentrations of carbon flecks and maintained the designation locus 15.  During this work a line of packed stones was noted along northern baulk in meters E128-129.  Several other packed stones were uncovered in E128, S17-18, however no relation to other packing is evident at this depth.  All stones in these meters were

covered with locus 15 soil.  Northern baulk was trimmed.  In this work an incised impasto fragment was named find #1.

Completed cut in meters E126-129, S17-18.  Soil in E126, S17-18 remained consistent with descriptions of locus 15 and maintained that designation.  The occurrence of carbon was less than in meters E127-8, possibly due to the great amount of disturbance by roots and stumps.  The entire area was leveled to approximately 57cm.b.d.  3/4 cassetta and 1 latte box were recovered from the locus.

A second cut was begun in E126, S17-18.  Soil remained unchanged.  Roots were removed.

Depths were recorded for the stone packing in meters E128-129, S17.  Elevation was approx. 40-49cm.b.d.  The stone formation was designated locus 16.
