A pick pass was completed in Locus 15 and used baulk hammers to trim back and define the rock feature. When this was completed, it was decided to remove the baulk wall between T28 and T28N which fell between coordinates 80.5S/196E and 82S/196E. Material found during this removal was seperated by loci. Locus 15 produced 1/4 cassetta of terracotta and plaster and 15 fragments of pottery. The topsoil layer of the baulk wall removal produced 1/8 cassetta of terracotta and plaster and 6 fragments of pottery. The soil equivilent to Locus 9 of the baulk wall removal produced 1/3 cassetta of terracotta and plaster and 10 fragments of pottery. During the course of removing the baulk wall, two larger rocks were uncovered most likely associated with the rock feature of Locus 8 (see page 91 for a diagram of the rock feature).
We completed one more pick pass
through the area of Locus 18 . One was foundnear the large rock located near 77S/198E. Locus 18 produced 1/2 cassetta of terracotta and plaster, 2 bone fragments, and 1/3 latte box of pottery.
