Initiated 10 cm cut from 100 cm below surface to 110 cm below in meters GHI/78 only in medium brown clayey soil.  This soil now matches 79 meters (GHI).  We will now extend 79 meter to match 110 cm depth of 78 meter.  There is a large rock in center H/78.  Finds in this cut so far are two; one coarseware handle fragment and one rocchetto framgnet.  There is a rock concentration in no apparent formation at end of I/78 cut.  In meters GHI/79, worked down to approx. 110 cm, level with GHI/78.

A new cut was initiated in GHI/79 in order to obtain an even approx. level of 115 cm.  One object made a find at G/79 at 113 cm, a fragment of painted pottery.  We had 1 cassette of tile and one box of pottery recovered.  Baulk trimming continued on teh western side at H-I/77.  One quarter of a cassette was filled and three pieces of bone

and pottery.  Soil has maintained its dark brown, clay like texture through the cuts.
