Very little vitrified terracotta was recovered from CB 54. Only loci 5 and 6 had any fragments (2 and 9 respectively). Locus 5 appears to be a post-archaic erosional fill from higher up on the site. Locus 6 seems to be an archaic layer, based on the recovery of architectural terracotta (see pottery summary). It should be noted that this amount of vitrified terracotta is much less than what was recovered in the Civitate A trenches north of CB 54 across the medieval road in 2012.
