Established a line level on the picchetto marking J/65. Line is 24 cm above surface level at stake. This point is datum level. K-M/70 continuing 10 cm cut in this 1x3 meter . Levels at start are 39 cm below datum (b.d.): cut will terminate at 49 cm bd. No pottery, and 4 frags of worn tile. Soil is dark humus w/ many roots. Cut terminates in humus. K-L/66 10 cm cut. Initiated at 32 cm bd. Cut terminated at ~40 cm. No pottery, some frags worn tile. Soil is dark humus, many roots and rocks. Cut terminates in humus. (Illustration of trench)

K-M/70 10 cm cut to 59 cm bd. (20 cm bs( Due to the tree located at interface J-K, many roots are bring encountered, making is difficult to dig. Not quite completed in a medium brown soil with a sligh olive-yellow tint. Numerous small rock and root disturbance. Tile usual worn. No pottery.

tile - 1/4 cassetta

K-L/66 2nd 10cm cut to ~52 cm bd (20 bs) Terminates in a light brown soil with a slight grey hue. Cassetta of tile worn. Pttery mixed and worn. Found one terracotta piece with possbile serrated base for attachment -to mag for cleaning.

K-L/67 10 cm cut started. Not finished. No pottery, one possible terracotta cut-out interior frag -to mag for cleaning. Cut is humus layer.
