Lithic Analysis

Lithic Analysis:

A total of 5 lithic pieces were special found in CA-82during the 2013 excavations season. Of these, 3 pieces were worked chert, andtwo were unusual pieces of possibly worked stone. None of these finds werecatalogued. Locus 10 had the majority of lithic finds with 3 (60%) of thetotal. These included a piece of worked chert, an unusual trapezoidal shapedrock that was possibly deliberately worked into this shape, and a compositegrouping of rocks with a possibly deliberate hole worked into one of the rocks.A single piece of worked chert was also found in each of Locus 2 and Locus 4 (20% of the total each). No other loci had lithic finds in them.
