Began an approximate 10cm cut in meter 51S160E and covered the entire trench.  Then it was decided to remove the terracotta that had been left in place over the last few days, because they had no significant presence nor patterned distribution.

PM

Finished removing terracotta.  The soil in meter 51S160E has been conistently damp-appearing and more crumbly than the rest of the soil in the trench, so it was decided to completely remove that soil type.  Once it is finished it will be seperated into another locus if it is necessary.  Also, parts of the baulk wall were trimmed.  1/2 cassetta of terracotta was found from locus 10.  Locus 10 also produced 1/3 latte box of bulk pottery.  There were 3 special finds.
