Daily Log

June 23, 1975

Work continued in the removal of the large stump in grids L-M/27.  The stones in grids M-N/26-27 were still left in situ.  These stones, along with those in grids J-K/26, seem to be directly over the light yellow soil stratum in which there is a heavier concentration of tile.  These stones may therefore have served as some sort of capping, placed in order to seal in the tile and yellow soil, or perhaps an attempt at terracing the north slope.

1 cassetta of tile dumped.
