Description: A topsoil deposit in the first locus of the trench measuring 4m x 5m. The deposit was composed of dark brown, compact soil with small-medium sized rocks and many roots. Little to no material, such as pottery, terracotta, and metals, were uncovered. Its scraping revealed a continuous bedrock outcropping beneath the whole locus, at which point the locus was closed.
