Cut 2, deepened to include Cut 3, continued through H-L, taking the depth of the trench to 50cm. Once again there were two layers of soil, a yellowish-green beneath a deep brown. Finds, as before, were scant, mainly tile gragents (1/4 box). However, an E-W lines of stones in J30-32, set above the yellow stratum, appears to be a wall foundation, 25-30cm. deep.
Cut 5 was continued into C-D30, D-E31-32, again encountering a burn layer at depth 100cm. The fragments of pottery were concentrated, mainly impasto and especially bucchero sotile, among fragments of tile (less numerous than in yellow soil).

Cut 4 and 5 was begun in H30-32, showing yellow soil above the burn layer. Heavy amount of tiles (1 box) and non-bucchero pottery.
