The three remaining stones (3-5) were lifted. Under those were found besides quite a lot
of plaster a great amount (about four boxes) of parts from large pithoi, among which at least 6 or 7 different rims. 2 pieces from a cooling stand, one of which form the rim in B3. Also in B3 underneath stone 3 was found a big loom-weight. Here too qalesh appeared at a depth of around 90 cm. One box of tiles was dumped. Two boxes of pottery sent down to Murlo. The trench was finished off and work stopped.

A new trench was laid out about 16 m to NE of T1, going out in a NW direction from T4 (see plan p.13) which had been dug four years previously (see Gantz, book 1 p. 19 H). The trench measured 3.0m NW-SW and 3.00m SW-SE. THe topsoil, very stony, was taken away. In the next layer, which yielded only a few tiles and not very much pottery, stone was standard.
