5A Further cleaning revealed definite pattern to the stones. A continuation of the western wall going south was found after a gap of 180cm, and along this continuation another projection or return west 180cm from the opening just as in trench 1U. The irregular outcrops of stones now were seen to be part of the agger and the wal was found to run under them and reappear in the gaps between them for the length of the trench. Finds include a small fragment of a hand from a seated statue found over the agger stones, and a rim fragment from an Ionic bowl found between the wall and the westerm projection.

5B Tiles were lifted and the trench closed down to the level of 1AD.

1AB + 1AE The level west of the burnt area was taken down in order to define the different stone foundations and wall concentrations. The whole area produced pottery and tiles (14 boxes with a concentrated to the part which was enclosed by the curving wall, where a large number of tiles and pithoi fragments (3 boxes) were found. There was indication of fire, and a few pieces of carbon were found. Right at the northern edge a well-preserved pan tile appeared, and also a cover tile in good condition was excavated.
