Wednesday: August 3
This morning work was completed on cleaning down the lower course of the stones composing the lower building foundation - most importantly the corner join between the two lower builidng walls was defined. The lower building foundation consists of a stone wall 75cm in depth. The upper building foundation for the N wall of R-12 was built upon this base and consists of a single course of stones 25cm in depth. The post hole in E/3 was photographed and an earth sample wat taken from it. Photos were also taken of lower building wall and the entire rectangle.
