Monday: July 25
Excavations continued in grids E-F/1-2, which were cleared to the 50cm level. The Lower Building wall was exposed during today's work. A heavy stone packing was encountered before the wall was noted and drawn. A new cut 20cm in depth was begun in A/1-2.

The 20cm cut begun this morning in A/1-2 was deepened to the west. Very little pottery and no tile was encountered. The east side of the wall of the Lower Building was cleaned, revealing a slight slope toward the stone packing.
