Summary
Four trenches Tesoro 11-14 in all covering an area of 42.5m were excavated in the wood to the east of the main complex. Nowhere were found structures of any sort which seemed to exclude buildings in this part of the hill. FInds were mostly few and insignificant. Only one of the trenches T11, which went down to a depth of nearly one meter, yielded a few interesting pieces, a handle of bucchero with a human figure, a few pieces of incised bucchero, and two sherds of a possibly red figured vase. Otherwise tiles, plaster, pottery of poor quality and a few pieces of frieze. An extension was made of T9, that had been dug the previous year and then yielded several uninteresting pieces. In the south part of thistrench under a layer of stones at a depth of over one meter what appeared to be a dump was struck. Here we found one human head and part of another. A feline head
rosettes. A bronze pin. The dump however seemed mostly to consist of pottery. At least four complete pots were found two of which could be taken out hole. Unfortunately the dump did not continue very far.
