Condition Fragment is worn, pitted, and encrusted. One finished bottom edge, but broken vertically through the vessel and horizontally through the body. Several modern tool marks on the fragment's bottom, finished face.
Description A terracotta fragment of metal roasting forno, preserving a finished face of the bottom portion. The fragment's base is wide, approximately 0.05119m, and smoothed flat. The edge of the base is curved, being slightly ovoid and projecting most on its exterior just before it makes a carination to the body of the fragment. The finished, exterior of the body is curving upwards in a concave profile but around in a convex section. There is possible evidence for burning on the exterior face where the carination happens between the base and the body. The unfinished interior of the fragment curves concavely to create an interior cylindrical profile, making it meet the bottom finished face at a rounded right angle (the max. pres. thickness). All other edges are ancient breaks.
