Has note |
Chogha Mish is located in modern Khuzistan, Iran. The site is situated in lowland Susiana, a geological extension of the Mesopotamia alluvium. Eleven seasons of excavation at the site provide an excellent source of evidence on prehistoric cultural developments in this region. The site documents developments in social complexity, specialization, agricultural and subsistence practices, and the emergence of central places. Geographic coordinates for the site come from conversion of UTM coordinates provided by Alzideh (2008:Pp. 1). |
