Description Four associated fragments of antler preserving evidence of working. Fragment A is sawn laterally. Fragment B is sawn laterally along two faces and also transversely through one edge (max. pres. height B). Fragment C preserves two transverse cuts, each about 0.01105m in width and 0.02160m from a laterally sawn edge (max. pres. width C), each other, and the opposite probably broken edge. Fragment D is sawn on two edges laterally. All four fragments possibly demonstrate the preparation of these antler cores for the making of relatively regular sized fragments which could be worked into plaques or inlays, etc. For further zooarchaeological analysis, see specialist record.
