Condition Glued from six fragments; plaque broken across bottom; woman broken below head; partially burned orange.
Description Double bucchero handle in two sections joined at the top where there is a round knob; curved section had straight edges and preserves molded decoration consisting of two vertical ridges bordering each edge with traces of six palmettes framed in heart-shaped volutes in a vertical row down the center; non-curved section preserves the head of a woman and rounded projections on either side, possibly wings; face is framed by a ridge of hair across the top and at both sides where it is slashed with short diagonal incisions; face is large with large eyes, broad nose, wide lips, and heavy chin.
