Description Fragment of a coarseware strap handle that is broken at the point of attachment and transversely through the handle in a relatively straight fashion. The handle is flattened and curved in shape, with a convex exterior and concave interior, arcing down away from the attachment point. Along one edge the width is preserved to 0.0524m, but on the opposite edge the width is preserved to 0.0389m. The handle is finished on the exterior and interior faces. Near one of the edges on the interior surface there is a modern scratch mark. The interior surface of the handle also has one impression, angling down from the point of attachment 0.014m from the finished edge to the break edge through the handle, 0.016m from the finished edge. The exterior surface of the handle preserves three round concavities at the attachment point along the break edge, possibly finger impressions. Also on the exterior surface along the shorter edge there are two round concavities, one about double the size of the other. These appear to be ancient chips.
