Surface exploration methods The single culturally diagnostic artifact, a projectile point, is similar to projectile points manufactured in the region during the early portion of the Archaic Tradition as defined by Kellar (1973). It has similarities to "Palmer" projectile points found throughout the Ohio Valley and represents an occupation between 8,000 and 6,000 B.C.
