Material Type (Descriptive Attribute)

Documentation Note

Using the Open Refine data cleaning application, Open Context editors, working in consultation with Darcy Bird, consolidated commonly occurring terms in the free-text "Materials (original)" attribute into a more limited set of controlled vocabulary terms. The resulting "Material Type" attribute is intended to facilitate search and broader interoperability of p3k14c records.
