Trimmed baulk. Some very tiny flakes of bronze were discovered in meter E188/S50 (locus 2), 35 fragments of terracotta were retrieved, and 7 pieces of pottery were found in the baulk.
Elevations were recorded. At the start of work today, the depth of the trench was approximately 40 cm bd. Beginning from the west, a cut of about 10 cm in depth was begun through meters E186/S49-50. Upon commencing to excavate, the soil appeared looser with fewer roots, and in addition to this, the color of the soil seemed to be a lighter brown than previously mentioned. Thus, this was designated locus 3n.
The cut through locus 3n was continued across the entire trench (E186-188/S49-50), and upon excavating in meters E188/S49-50, numerous fragments of terracotta were found directly under the trench floor, with more terracotta visible underneath.
In today's work 288 fragments of terracotta, two teeth, 28 pieces of ceramic which were mainly impasto and coarseware, a fragment of a possible akroterion (Find #1),
