Work resumed in both ends of trench 2D. The concentration of stones in the north end of the trench was removed.
In the south, the following architectural fragments were found:
A few pieces of cornice.
A piece of horse race frieze (lower lefthand corner).
4 pieces of campstool frieze, including a fairly large fragment with cornice preserved.
2 pieces of procession frieze (designated and ), along with a badly preserved fragment of human head antefix, which included one eye and the top part of the hair (no find number given).
A few fragments of pottery were also found, including a large piece of pithos rim; fragments of a light red terracotta vase, including a
handle; and a fragment of red pottery with handle attached.
A complete base of rosetta was found in two pieces at 2.55 m from the south end of the trench, 1.89 m from the east, at 0.90 m depth. Find #15.
