August 1, 1968

Trench CA5 was begun northeast of the dump.  The same layer of small stones appeared near the surface.  The trench produced no finds and was finished at a depth of 0.62 m.

Trench CA6, situated northwest of the dump, also produced no finds.  Galestra appeared at 0.17 m.

Trench CA7 was laid out approximately 10 meters east of CA6.  The west end was composed of large stones, loosely jutting out from bedrock.  No tiles or vase fragments appeared.  Galestra was reached at a level of 0.53 m.
