A.M.
An area was cleared of brush and leaves in the CA region approximately 8 m. south of CA 2. The area cleared was approximately 8x8 in order to allow for two parallel trenches measuring 8x3 m., CA 48 to the north and CA 49 to the south.
Since the transit was unavailable the relative location of the two trenches was approximated using the fixed points PC 1 and PC 6 to create a sight line.
