STRATEGY: Continue defining area of higher density ceramics. Take E half of 2007 down to level reached in W half. Continue removing pit fill, possibly establishing a new lot. Backsite: 90cm
SUMMARY: Level established across f268. Cleaning in the E half of pit in preparation for photograph exposed several pieces of plaster. Rather than a surface, however, these appear to have been part of the debris with which the pit was filled. Most of the large sherds that formed a single large vessel were bagged seperately for conservation, although several are quite large and not ready for removal. Bone, sherds, etc., continue to be found in the pit. A new lot, however, was not opened at the end of day. Plaster adheres to some sherds of this large vessel, but this has yet to be sorted out.
