Description Locus 3 is a yellow flaky soil made up of decaying limestone. This locus is the extreme bottom of the depression excavated and was opened to confirm that the full depth of the depression had been reached. Little material came from this locus and most of that appear to be from around rocks and most likely was material from the bottom of the depression. It was not confirmed to be a sterile locus however it is very similar to other sterile loci in the CA area and most likely if it had been excavated further would have been found to be sterile.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
