Description Locus 2 was olive green and brown in color and claylike in texture. Ample organic matter remained in this locus. This material was entirely roots from the four trees within in CB 46; the superficial plant/weed roots of locus 1 were removed with the humous layer. Numerous small rocks were additionally present in this locus. The olive/brown soil was mottled in portions with a brighter yellow soil. These outcroppings occurred most frequently near tree roots. Pottery increased considerably from locus 1 to locus 2, though a still relatively small amount was present (71 pieces). Locus 2 was conflated with Locus 6 and Locus 7.
