Condition Composed of numerous fragments; portion of side walls and resting surface missing. Encrusted, surface scratched. Parts have been burned.
Description A heavy, convex lid or cooking bowl with round, flattened resting surface and smooth curving sides. On top of the lid is a single loop-handle, slightly wider at its join to the lid that in its center and elliptical in cross-section. Outside surface of lid appears to have been painted white, as shown by traces of a thin, white film sporadically preserved on this surface.
Fabric Description Impasto. A deep orange clay with light orange or brown central core, numerous impurities.
