Condition Broken at both ends. There are several chips along the sides of the handle. The surface is worn and slightly pitted.
Description Fragment of a bucchero handle is flat on the exterior with raised ridges running along the sides of the handle. The interior is convex, and the handle has a semicircular section. The handle widens from one end to the other, perhaps flaring toward the attachment to the vessel. Traces of vertical striations are visible on both sides perhaps indicating burnishing.
