Condition Fragment. Broken at the top at juncture with inner handle, broken below 0.031 m from base of knob. Burned. Heavily worn and encrusted.
Description Bucchero handle fragment, preserving part of exterior section of double handle. Straight lateral sides are bordered by two ridges. Molded panel decoration within the ridges consists of a vertical row of palmettes framed in heart-shaped volutes pointed upwards, two such palmette-volute groups are extant. The fragment is surmounted by a knob consisiting of a flattened round of clay topped by a smaller round.
