Condition Some parts heavily burnt and blackish brown, other parts retain the enamel coating which has almost entirely resisted burning and is a shiny gray; there are small patches of a white substance on both sides. The tusk is very fragile and is fracturing longitudinally, latitudinally, and in layers; approximately 75 percent of the surface is preserved; both ends are broken.
