Description | Massive limestone block, regular rectangle. Buff in colour, calcite "snowflakes" evident on W face. Built into walls as base of doorframe, as such top, S and E faces not visible. Large chip at NW bottome corner, with moderately weathered chip edges. Modern mortar used to hold in current location. Chip also at NW top to depth of 5-7cm. Doorway at N of house No.145. Central mark (greyed surface chip) on W face are approximately one-third of the way up slightly to S of center. |
