Description Locus 8 is a dark brown humus layer with organic material including leaves, grass, and roots. Many small rocks 4-8cm in size are included in the soil matrix. There was little material in this layer. Terra cotta, pottery, and bone were found in small concentrations. What artifacts were found were fairly worn. The soil pack was loose and the locus was relatively shallow, about 14cm deep.
