Condition Broken at neck, slivered at left side of neck; worn and slightly encrusted.
Description Ivory head of an animal, resembling an otter, preserved from the neck up, and cocked slightly to its right, the back of the neck preserves a long, narrow v-shaped incision down the center and downward sloping diagonal incisions on either side to indicate the hair, the muzzle is short and wide, the mouth is open showing heavy front teeth, the large almond eyes slope down toward the back of the head and preserve the round holes in the center, probably for inlaid stones, behind the eyes there are short vertical incisions, possibly indicating ears.
