Description Locus 5 lies above Locus 6 and below Locus 4. It is a 2 by 3 meter sounding from the eastern baulk wall. Locus 5 consists is defined by a brighter, also clay-like soil with less stones and materials. Along the eastern baulk wall there was a section of darker soil with roots within it. Locus 5 revealed a slope downwards toward the southeastern corner of the trench. There was approximattely 70 sherds of pottery found and about 5 bowls of tile as well as finds of bucchero, redslip, and iron nail fragments.
