Description Locus 3 is located roughly 1.5 to 2 m from the western baulk wall, abuts Locus 2, and lies above Locus 1. The soil within the Locus is yellow-brown modeled with white, and granular in consistency. The southwestern corner of Locus 3 had a darker soil that contained materials (like tile and ceramic). Below this the lighter soil was present and no materials were recovered. Generally, very little material was recovered from Locus 3. Decaying stone was apparent throughout the Locus.
