Condition Complete except for several gaps in the side walls; restored from numerous fragments; surface encrusted.
Description A heavy, round, domed lid or cooking bell with smooth walls, a flat bottom edge, and a handle on top in the form of a loop slightly wider at its join to the lid than in its center and flanged in cross-section. The top of the vessel is not round but flattened.
Fabric Description Orange clay, slightly better levigated than that used for the architectural terracottas.
