Description Locus 6 is surrounded by bedrock in the southeastern corner of the southern extension in CA-57. The soil in Locus 6 was yellowish-brown, hard and compacted. About 7-10 centimeters below the surface of Locus 6 the soil noticably began to change. The western half of Locus 6 remained a yellowish-brown galestra-like soil with no terracotta or pottery. While, the eastern half of Locus 6 changed into a dark brown soil with small amounts of terracotta and pottery. Therefore, it was decided to close Locus 6 and create Locus 7 and 8.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
