|Munsell Color||10YR 2/2 very dark brown|
|Description||Locus 1 consisted of both a thin layer (2-5 centimeters) of very loose dark brown soil and the underlying more claylike soil (both layers were very similar in color). The material recovered from the locus was very mixed and contained both modern and ancient tile and pottery. Due to time constraints the locus was not fully excavated, only in the area where locus 2 was declared.|

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
