Munsell Color 10YR 2/2 very dark brown
Description Locus 1 consisted of both a thin layer (2-5 centimeters) of very loose dark brown soil and the underlying more claylike soil (both layers were very similar in color). The material recovered from the locus was very mixed and contained both modern and ancient tile and pottery. Due to time constraints the locus was not fully excavated, only in the area where locus 2 was declared.
