Description Locus 2 is a lighter brown soil that extends across the entirety of the trench. The soil was rockier than the soil encountered in locus 1, which was expected due to the presence of a rock feature in CB-45 and CB-46, which flank the eastern and western walls of CB-49. Locus 2 produced 2 1/2 bowls of terracotta and 1 latte box worth of pottery. It also produced 3 special finds, including a piece of vitrified terracotta, a vitrified terracotta flange, and a fragment of a frieze plaque.
