|Description||Locus 1 is the topsoil of Trench Tesoro 56. When opened, it extended through all of the trench, but Locus 2 was declared in its southern half. Locus 1 thus sits on top of Locus 2 in the south, and Locus 4 and 5 in the north. It can be seen in all four baulk walls in the top few centimeters and extends further down the N, the north half of the E, and the north meter of the E baulk. It is comprised of a brownish clay, and contains many organic inclusions such as decaying leaves, grubs, and roots. Finds included small amounts of terracotta, bone, and ceramic.|

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
